New Spaceships

Welcome Nostromo, Wycliffe Well & Ham the Chimp, 3 of our new Spaceship vehicles. Wondering about their name association with Space?  Well here’s how we came up with them.

Ham The Chimp  - was the first hominid (ape) launched into outer space

Wycliffe Well – The proclaimed UFO capital of Australia and the 5th ranked for UFO activity in the world.

Nostromo – From the movie Alien it was the commercial towing Spaceship travelling from Thedus to earth

Hey everyone!

Well summer's on its way out in Sydney but we're still cranking as people head up to the tropical north!  Here's a few stories/updates from around the country!

Girl Power! On Monday  the Spaceship 'Space Balls' was rented by a group of women from 3 generations of the same family.  Grandma, mum & 2 daughters!

Whale Watching cruises start 14th May at Port Stephens. Visit our Port Stephens Space station at Melaleuca Backpackers for more info.

Classic Customer Comment; one of our customers was surprised to see that 2 record players come with all Spaceships.  These were actually our portable cookers.

Have fun out there in outer space!

Cheers,

The Space Cadets.

Spaceships Australia Update

Well it's been a busy few months for Spaceships Campervans Australia. The Christmas and New Year periods saw the most number of Spaceships on the road ever. We also welcomed quite a few new vehicles to our growing fleet (so we should be able to fill more of our agent requests...sorry guys if we've been full lately). The best names of the new vans - Philmaximus, Gus The Snail and Laika Virgin. The Spaceships name must be growing worldwide as we welcomed customers from Colombia, Thailand, Malta and Russia recently.

OZnewsRooSpeaking of Russia, I had an interesting conversation with a Russian traveller a few weeks back. He was checking out his vehicle with our friendly Sydney staff when he turned to me wanting to know about Kangaroos.

He asked me numerous times about being scared of Kangaroos and he didn’t want to hit one and damage the van. "How much we pay if we hit one Kangaroo" - I explained about insurance options etc and then I convinced him that it's a very rare occurrence and to not drive at night and so on to limit the possibility.

The guy then said - "If we hit a Kangaroo, can we eat it?" "Will this Kangaroo be poison? Because I like to eat Kangaroo!"

It's worth noting that our traveller is still on the road and so far (as far as we know) haven't had any close encounters of the Roo kind.

Anyone looking to be cool and hire a Spaceship in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns please give us a call on 1300 132 469

Cheers,
Shrek
