The ultimate in two berth campervan hire in Australia. The Beta 2 is great to drive, compact and has all the features you need for campervan hire in Australia. The Beta is our premium Spaceship with improved features and better fuel economy, in a newer model vehicle.
Unique mix of features include: two sleeping options (internal and external), cooker, 15 litre fridge, dual slide doors, dual battery system, DVD player and ipod cord, living equipment, internal table and large side awning.

Sleeping Option 1 - Internal
- Includes comfortable, full size double bed with the back door closed.
- Use in colder weather or when camping in more urban areas
- Smart design means you don't need to rearrange to access your luggage
Beta Spaceships comfortably sleep 2 adults. . All linen/bedding is included in your hire price.
To set up: Turn the rear seat around to face the back door, set up the internal bed legs (provided for free) then sit the bed extension on top of the rear seat. This will take you less than 10 seconds to set up and dismantle.
Sleeping Option 2 - External for 30% more space and ventilation
- A comfortable full size double bed extended out the back door with a canvas awning attached, providing more head room and ventilation
- Fantastic option for hot summer nights - the air circulation will help you get a better night's sleep
- The rear bed extension can also be used as a table or seat
- Waterproof rear awning provided
This is an amazing option that can be used all year round (though some may prefer in the summer only). Just open the back door, pull out the rear bed structure, add the bed extension and then fasten on the rear awning. This will take you less then a minute (even quicker once you've done it a few times). There is a vented window with a large insect screen that can be zipped up or left open.
Portable Two Element Cooker
- Two burners for greater cooking flexibility
- One free gas canister is provided with your Spaceship campervan
- Pots, pans and all cooking utensils (included free of charge)
- Cutlery, plates and cups for four
- A large side awning is included for sunshade and rain protection (with space for table and chairs)
The two burners are provided with an easy to set up cooker stand. You can also rest the cookers on a picnic table or other external surface. A complete cooking kit is provided with a 20 litre water container.
Special Dual Battery System
- Self-charges as you drive
- Lasts for up to 24 hours
- Powers the stereo, DVD player, fridge and internal lights
- You don't need to pay for a powered campsite each night
Spaceships are set up with two batteries, one runs the CD/DVD player, fridge and internal lights, and the other battery starts the engine. This means you can operate the fridge and watch a DVD while the engine is not running as it uses the 2nd battery, but the Spaceship will always start on the 1st battery, and then self-charge the 2nd battery as you drive.
This saves you money and gives you more freedom as it means you do not have to pay for a powered site to charge your vehicle like you would in an ordinary Australian camper van rental.

The main rear storage is accessed from the back and can securely store two large soft backpacks. We have improved the rear awning by including a large zip down area so you can access the rear storage compartment with the awning still on. The internal storage area is where the cookers, cutlery and cooking equipment are stored and offers space for dry food storage. You don't have to rearrange the interior for day and night time use.

- Large 21 litre fridge/freezer with enough room for a bottle of wine, milk and some food

Unique 3 in 1 Swivel Seat Design
The rear seat can be rotated to perform 3 unique features
1. Driving mode: Position the seat forward for seating for up to two people.
2. Eating mode: Turn the seat so it's facing out the side door. Then you can set up the internal table while cooking and eating.
3. Sleeping mode: Lastly you can turn the seat so that's facing backwards, then add the bed extension to create a full side double bed inside your campervan.

The Beta Spaceship is a true pleasure to drive. It is compact enough to park in city underground carparks and is perfect to cruise long distances. New features of the Beta over the Alpha Spaceship include: Air bags, more spacious driver's area, better storage, four cup holders, new and even spacier console design, dual slide doors, more power and better fuel economy (saving up to $5 - $10 per day). In keeping with all Spaceships they are fun, safe and easy to drive.

Insurance
All Inclusive Insurance - Only $30 extra per day for complete cover. Max charge $1500 i.e. 50 day rental for 18 - 24 year olds, $1200 40 day rental for 25+ year olds.

Standard bond: $2000 for 25+ years, $2500 for 18-24 years. Note: Bond is only frozen for duration of hire, not deducted from customer's account.
